and the evolution of mind in the artist. His mode of thinking is a treasure!"
Edal practices the Geddesian "Vital Budget" and "Vital Economy"
and is writing a large work "Technics and Nature" in which he
continues the work of Geddes which he dedicates to the stimulus of Mumford.
Edal hopes to form a Geddes Trust locally and would like to make contact
with fellow Geddesians.

We
currently live in Craufurd, Lasswade which we understand was lived in by
Patrick Geddes in the late 1890's. The major part of the original house
was demolished in the mid-1960s and replaced by a modern house designed
by a local architect, Norman Hunter. The grounds, however, appear to be
much as they would have been at the beginning of the twentieth century.
My acquaitance with Patrick Geddes' work dates back half a century and coincides
with my academic interests in urban sociology.
